This class is required by the Texas Department of Public Safety with the required four plus hours of classroom instruction with a written test and a range proficiency test.
This class includes:
· Laws that relate to firearms and the use of force and deadly force
· Handgun use and safety
· Non-violent dispute resolution
· Proper storage practices for handguns with emphasis on practices to eliminate the possibility of accidental injury to a child
Even if you have no intention of carrying a concealed pistol, this class is wonderful to gain knowledge about weapons in the event you should ever need one. (FAQ – include link to DPS FAQ page)
